Help! 89 with 22re - random hoses.

Alright, here's the story. Completed an engine swap from an 88 only to find that between production years Toyota changed the efi away from a solenoid, so no fuel getting into the cylinders. So I recently swapped out the efi/wiring harness, valve cover and efi manifold, only to be left with 2 hoses that I can't for the life of me remember where they go. Any chance you guys can snap a few pics to help me route them? I marked one as egr, but still no luck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a coolant hose to me. Your going to have to give better detail on where the hose comes from for us to tell you where it goes.

Look under the intake plenum at the IAC. I bet you've got an empty nipple down there that wants to be friends with the hose you marked EGR. The second hose looks like a fuel return, it's been a bit since I've looked at a 22RE and don't remember if that comes off the front or back of the fuel rail, but it'll be somewhere around there.

the hose in your second pic is absolutely the return fuel line. it attaches to the bottom of the fuel pressure regulator, located on the firewall end of the fuel rail. the FPR also has a vacuum line attached to the side of it that goes to a vsv located on the valve cover. also, the attachment hardware on that hose goes to the stud that attaches the intake runners (the one closest to the firewall) and it is visible in that second pic.

in my attached pic, you can see the fpr at the back of the fuel rail. you can also see the return fuel hose, it routes from the hard line on the firewall, across the back pair of intake runners, down under the runners, to the underside of the FPR. flyin hawaiian's return line isn't routed in the stock manner, but it probably works fine. just has a sharp bend in the hose that is not present in the stock configuration.

Thanks Wally.

Wally you are a life saver. Had a serious idiot moment, they are both the same hose. 1 was still attached to the vehicle, the other to the swapped efi, and I also mislabelled it as egr. So I kept looking for 2 nipples, but they didn't exist. Thanks for the save.
