Help a Noob buy the right thing!

Hey guys,
So I had to sell my 05 V8 Sport to cover our families adoption expenses, but I was able to pick up a 98 limited a couple weeks ago. The suspension and the tires are shot so I need to pick up something fast, and this is also my DD.
I currently have the LC rear springs for that mod, but I need to get the 4 new shocks all around for my rig. Are these the TRD Tundra ones that will work for my 3rd gen? Just don't want to purchase the wrong thing. I've read Rickashay's amazing suspension thread, but I'm having a hard time finding the right TRD's online for some reason. So really all I need are the 4 shocks and the front springs.
Any help would be great, or if you're selling what I need, that'd also be great!

Finding the TRD setup is kind of a pain, if you need it quick, I'd just order the Toytec/Eibach front springs, Tundra Bilstein 5100's and stock FJ80 shocks.

Good for you for adopting, man. Pretty neat. Having had both the Eibach and TRD setup, I massively prefer the TRD setup on Bilstein 5100's. The ride is so much smoother and in control. I found my Eibach ride harsh. I got my TRD springs for $80 on car-part.com

Wheelers offroad has the right tundra 5100s for our trucks and even has the bushings swapped into the rears for you. I'd go that route, personally.

Interesting. My experience was opposite of this. The TRD coils felt excessively soft to me. Maybe it is weight related.

If you're looking to save a tidy sum, you can substitute the Monroe Sensa-a-tracs in the rear. I've used them on two 3rd gens so far with great results. Only $20/ each!

Read through the above. I went with speedys lift recommendation delivery time is about a week and a halfish. Mine arrive Tuesday and I can tell you what I think after. My suspension is shot as well.

I don't know who the manufacturer is for these shocks, but they certainly are not Bilstein.

The auction description is of little help. I'd pass and save my money for the right stuff.

If I were you, I'd avoid the non-OEM springs. I'd also refuse to settle for non-reputable, unbranded shocks.

I'd recommend 5100's or factory TRD shocks up front coupled with TRD or Eibach springs (from Toytec). As the above poster mentioned, I'd save your money for the good stuff. Not that you'd be saving money buying the above setup since TRD springs ~ $80, TRD Billies ~ $80, rear Monroes ~ $40, rear LC springs ~ $80.

For the Bilstein shocks, I've had good success with Suspension Lift Kits & Leveling Kits | SuspensionConnection.com - Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Toyota & Jeep. I'm sure others have many more vendor sites to share.

Google online coupons prior to ordering. Often times 10 - 20% savings can be had!

TRD springs new - Any dealership can order them for you, ~$125 /each side.


Rear shocks - RockAuto Parts Catalog Order 2x Monroe Sens-a-tracs for the rear of a 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser.

I'll send you the info on my front shocks soon, waiting on wife to text me a pic.
