Help advice for different o/r look

1st, I want a front end guard and think I will go with the Westin Safari bar , I don't like big bulk thing's just something to keep the knobs from backing into me , I also want a set of lights on it , like PIAA or Hellas. I also read that Westin is making the Safari bar bigger in dia. than prev. but I will have to call them to find out for sure. I will also paint it to match my G.Gray. (My kid will do it for free).

2nd I'm going to get rid of my Revos and get some BFG AT's 265/70/17 , I found someone at work to buy the Revos for his f150. I will go with blackwalls out on the BFGs.

3rd, ok here's where I need the help. I want some type of lift , I would be happy with just a 1" front spacer lift , I'm happy with the back end. I also don't like the 3/2" lifts as it makes the space in the wheel wells to big and the tire look to small for that lift and I don't want any bigger tire's than I already have . OK what type of lift ? I don't want to loose the handling of the truck either , Daystar ( cant find the website for them) Revtek ( no spacer listed and will loose Xreas according to the site, I will talk to Jason about Cornfed spacer. Do you think I'm making the wrong decision with just trying to tweek the front ? Also from what I understand a 3/2 lift will make it more top heavy and I wont be able to run any bigger tire's than whay I have now either as many of you still run 70's with the 3/2 lift. My truck is also leased so I will have to take the spacers out before I turn it in unless I buy it at the end. After 3 years I should have 80k miles on it anyway. I do go offfroad but not rock crawling (obviously) but I pretty much go anywhere/everywhere I can find and any chance I get to get off pavement. So I want something I won't have problems with and still keep the stability of the truck. I'm looking for that it just looks differnt than my 4R look from other owners , nothing extreme.

I can only help with the first question. Westin does have a larger diameter bullbar out now. It's the Ultimate Bullbar. A few members have that bar installed. I think Jason Burtman has the lowest prices for the UBB. Here's some pics.

I was pretty set on getting the UBB also, but it seems the first few to take the plunge think it seems a bit too flimsy. I hate non-functional stuff especially when it costs $300. The Strona group buy BB is looking better and better everyday.. I just wonder if they're actually going to get it.. it's been months already!

I was talking about the Westin Safari bar . I personally don't like the UBB . It does not look good to me and fron the ones I've seen on full size trucks it is just to flimsy.It would be ok for light mounting I guess but thats about it . I wanted something smaller and less bulky looking , hence the Safari bar.

i know cornfed has made some custom spacer lifts of different sizes. they have done it for numerous members on here.

I've had a chance to compare , just not on the 4Runner. As far as ride goes the Revos are real nice and great in rain & on road driving, in snow I find them to be average , off road they are good if you are on dry dirt or light soft material , in muddy conditions I feel they are not so good. Would I buy another set , YES, depending on my needs , if I was looking for a good all season semi agressive tire the Revos would be it.


I've had many , many sets of BFG AT and think they are superior AT tire. I heard so many things here about the Revos that I had to try them. Not a bad tire at all , just would not recommend them if you off road or drive in heavy snow or travel alot in snow. I also would like to try Nitto TG's but I can only have so many sets of tires....lol so I will stick with what I know & like. If the guy at work comes through the Revos will be gone , otherwise I'll have to keep them and run them

I must at this to the Revos credit , they are light years ahead of the stock Dunlop At20's that come stock
