HELP! Blew a fuse.....radio, clock, etc out

I am trying to hook up a switch to allow my antenna to go up since Pioneer doesn't have an antenna wire on their harnesses. This switch has 3 prongs, an "Earth", "Supply" and "Load". First, can someone clarify what those are? I was taking "earth" to be ground, "Supply" to be my antenna wire from the 4Runner and "load" to be my power wire.

So I hooked up the power wire (I spliced the power wire going from the 4Runner harness to the radio) in order to get power. I blew a fuse and now the radio, clock, etc will not come on. I looked under the hood and didn't see where the fuse might be and pulled the lower left kick panel on the driver's side but those are pretty small fuses.

Any information would be great. Not sure why I would have to run a power to get the antenna to go up and down..thought I could just put a 'toggle' switch but with the switch I have it wouldn't work.

load is to the ant. supply if from power source and earth is ground

sorry let me clarify,
a load wire is used to supply a load or power to something (you ant motor in this case)
a earth wire is a grounding wire (usually brown/green or black depending on the application) simple enough
a supply wire is for carrying power from a source to the switch (like your car battery or fuse box to the switch)

That is the switch I have...it just isn't clear what is what. The switch has a sticker that has

Earth
LED
Load
Supply

But then the packaging has

Power (+)
Load
Ground (-)

So I am wondering if the power is under the LED or on the other side of the LED.

Also, what fuse did I blow?

LED is the bulb that lights up in the switch, you don't need to worry about that, it's encase if teh bulb goes out you can replace it, led/bulb more or less the same thing.


and not sure what fuse you blew have a look on the fuse chart under the dash or under the hood, most likely it's going to be the one under the dash. and should be an accessory marking of some kind, sorry i'm not that good, lol

Is it even a good idea to tap into the power wire in between the car and the radio to power that switch? How do other people power their switches?

Ok, the 15A fuse ACC is blown to smithereens on the interior kick panel fuse box...so that must be the problem.

If anyone knows the answer to my question about tapping into the radio power wire please let me know.

i pull all of mine from the fuse box from under the hood

but i see no problem pulling from the power to your h/u

fuse panel or battery can also be radio, but personally i link everything being fused and nice and pretty, but then again if you come from the radio you don;t have to deal with passing wires through firewall and the rest

i can't help you with which plug on the back does what,but since it blew i'd say you got the load and supply backwards

I believe it would be the supply and the ground that were backwards.

A little off topic, but where is the 4x4 fuse? I'm missing the cover on the DS dash...

I just ran a wire from the remote wire and the antenna wire to the switch...I didn't run a power wire or a ground....so the LED doesn't turn on but that is fine. A 2 prong switch would have done the same thing but they didn't have any that were easy to drill a hole for.

So antenna now goes up at the flip of a switch...thanks for the input!

Please help! Which fuse do I need to replace?

I have a 2001 4Runner. I noticed yesterday that all my windows (except my driver's seat window and the sun roof) stopped working. I can't roll down the passenger seat window, either of the rear seat windows, or the hatch window. They don't work regardless of whether I try from the driver's seat door console or from each particular door itself. Does anyone know specifically which fuse I need to replace? Or is this a different, non-fuse-related problem? Thanks!
