HELP! CD stuck in stock HU

I just bought a 1993 4runner and the previous owner managed to get a CD stuck in the HU. The HU is stock. When I try to eject the CD it makes the noise but no CD. The CD also plays still but is bad music. lol

Is there a way to manually eject the CD or is this a good excuse to upgrade to an aftermarket HU?

imo, it's a great excuse to upgrade to aftermarket.

haha, I agree but it still does not convince the girlfriend. There has to be a way to get it out without taking the whole thing apart.

A pair of needle nose pliers?

A BFH?? Oh wait that'd be considered disassembly lol.


I too think you may be looking at an upgrade coming soon. Unless someone happens to know a secret to ejecting a CD that wont come out. Most likely the stereo's eject mechanism is broken or worn out somehow. If you do manage to get the CD out in one piece I wouldnt put another one in there, at least not one you care any about......

I agree. I don't know of a way to get out a cd if it is stuck like that, at least without some disassembly. If it were me, and I were attached to this cd player, I would take it out and take it apart to try and fix it. Otherwise, I would buy a new one.
