Help - Changing parking light bulbs

First, let me say I am sorry. I tried to use the search function as I am sure this topic has been discussed before. However, I am a member on 3 different forums and have never had much luck using the search on any of them.

Second, one of parking light bulbs finally blew. I stopped and bought the bulb, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the plug out of the headlight housing. The manual shows it as simple as turning it counter clockwise, but mine won't budge. Granted it has never been touched in the 8.5 years I've owned the truck. I just wanted to be sure it is that simple before I put some real force behind it and break something.........on me or the truck.

Easy. Once you know how.

The key is since you really cannot see them you need to know that they are not like headlight bulb/connectors which have a right angle connector.

These marker lights are straight-in bulb and connector not right angle.

Grab and twist. My hands seemed to be twice too big but they worked.

Battery hardware needs to come off and tip the top of the battery back a few inches to get to the one on that side.

That might be EXACTLY what I wanted to know. I was turning it by the connector thinking it was a 90*.

Stay Tuned and thanks for the help everyone.

Thanks again Atlanta. As soon as I knew it wasn't a right angle I was able to apply the right kind of pressure and got it done in two minutes.
