Help diagnosing obd2 codes | Bluetooth reader?

Hi all, my 2004 4Runner Sport V6 has started displaying numerous codes.

Over the past two weeks the codes are: p2441, 1201, p0430 and p2238

Each time the check engine light comes on the engine runs a little rough for a few seconds. This always happens when the engine is warm. Twice is has happened while claiming a steep grade, once while sitting at a stop light and the last time immediately after starting the engine after running into a store for 5 minutes.

The most recent maintenance I've done was new spark plugs, new air filter and new pcv valve.

Anyone that can shed light on where to begin diagnosing is greatly appreciated.

Alos, as the truck has 300k miles on it I'm considering getting a Bluetooth obd2 scan tool that works with an iPhone/iPad. Does anyone have any experience with any of these?

You need to Google those codes (just type "pxxxx toyota" into Google) and see what they're about. Chances are one of the codes is the root cause, and the others are just collateral results of the root cause. In your case, p2441 is a problem with the valves in your secondary air injection system, which is likely messing up the mixture and causing the other codes (a misfire and a couple of O2 sensor/catalyst codes).

I just bought an obd2 scan tool from amazon. I havent tried it yet but from my research I found that iphones/ipads will not work with a bluetooth obd2 scanner. if you want wireless, you have to get the wifi version.

Also, concerning the Bluetooth OBDII reader, I've been using this one: BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool.
With the Torque Pro app.
They've both worked great for me. I've used them for checking/clearing codes on my 4Runner and F-150. And for temp read outs (for the tranny) on my 4Runner.
However, I'm not sure if these are available/compatible with iOS.

There are a few Bluetooth scanners out there that work with the Apple OS, but most indeed are oriented toward the Android OS. Read the fine print carefully before you buy.
