HELP! E7019 No Voice Navi Problem

I just installed a E7019 Navigation unit in a 04 sr5 non-jbl that I got off of ebay. The unite came from a corolla and it's like new.

When I try to navigation function, i get voice saying drive and guidance will start. The map shows a route to my destination. However, when i start driving, i don't get anymore voice navigation telling me to turn/left right etc. It even does not reroute if i go the wrong direction. When I do arrive at me destination, the voice navigation comes on and says I'm at my destination. The map version is 6.1.

I've gone through the menu but i can't figure out why I'm not getting voice navigation. I don't have the user manual. Anyone know if there is one available on line?


Do I have a defective unit or there is a setting I'm missing.

Just did the exact same thing. It is because the Vehicle Speed Sensor wire is not connected. Looking at the back of the radio there is a wiring harness port with 5 pins. The center pin is the VSS. Because I had no wiring harness, I just soldered a wire directly to the pin and the other end to the VSS wire. The VSS wire is below the radio in the wiring bundle covered with electrical tape behind the HVAC Controls. You are looking for a red wire with a purple stripe (might be purple with a red stripe).
Once you do this the navigation will be working perfectly!

Is VSS wire hard to find? Does anyone have a pic?

VSS wire is purple with red stripe, found in the large bundle of wires right behind the 3 HVAC controls. Sorry, can't find any picture right now.....

I see you have installed an e7019 in your 4runner. I have a 2007 4runner in dash 6CD radio w/o the JBL that I am also interested in installing the e7019. I have a few questions for you. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Q1:How difficult was the installation(do you have pics on how to connect the VSS and reverse)?
Q2: Is there a way to connect a rear back up camera to the e7019 unit?
Q3: Which Navigation antenna would I need to purchase?
Q4: Do the steering controls (volume, track/station, mode) work with the e7019?
Q5: Does the center console AUX jack work with the e7019?
