Help fixing chipped paint

Was washing the rig this weekend and noticed this defect on the rear bumper. I would love to try to fix it before it gets worse. I have no freaking idea how it happened. It is deep though. Hope the pics help.

Definitely looks like someone might have gotten a bit too close to you in a parking lot or wherever. That is something that I would have a body shop look at as it is beyond what a bottle of touch-up paint could accomplish. You might think it overkill but I had a smilar situation with the bumper on my wife's 2010 Camry and the only way of getting it back to "perfect" was to repaint the bumper. We were lucky in that no blending of surrounding panels was needed as the paint matched perfectly. Or you can always ignore it and over time will become even less noticeable.
