Help I am confused Projector Question

So I retro fitted some projectors in my headlights, Im going to get some HID's but I had some down time when I wasn't drivin around and so I did the retrofit while I could without having to buy a 2nd set of head lights. Anyway, I did the retrofit and NOW with my regular halogens in my brights are my lows and lows are brights. Why is this happening and is that normal? Did I mess up big time? Or am I just being stupid and missing something obvious?

were your hi-beams in the on position when you did the swap? did you unhook your battery? i dont know how it could of got switched if you didnt unhook any wires. but i duno thought id ask that at least. maybe try to unhook the battery with the highbeams in the on position (but not actually on) then put the switch in the normal position and hook the battery back on?? again i doubt this will do anything but its worth a try?

Good Idea I didn't even think of unhooking the battery, and when I turned the truck on the highbeams were on and I am pretty sure I didn't leave them on last time I used the head lights I'll go do that right now!!! brb

Nope didnt do squat except set off my alarm at 11:20pm and I think woke up all of base housing lol it was really loud with the hood open....I don't know what it could be....

hmmm did you check your drl fuse? or maybe your high beam low beam fuse, there may be something going on in there, im pretty sure there are fuses for them. thats the strangest thing to happen though without playing with the wires.

I don't know I think that may just be the way they are until I get HIDs in there, I mean they weren't built for halogen they were make for HID's so I'll live with it and drive with my brights on until then,

That is odd. I know just enough about HIDs and projectors to get myself into trouble, but I don't see how by just swapping in a set of projectors some how has caused your stock wiring operate your halogen bulbs in reverse?

You did not tamper w/ your stock wiring in any did you? If so, then maybe the metal contact between your halogen bulb and projector itself has caused the wiring to flip? That's a strech, but that's all I can think of that might be causing the problem.

Be sure to update us when you get your HID bulbs and PnP wiring kit in and hopefully that will somehow correct the solution.

Yeah its kinda wierd. I actually flipped the bulbs upside down and it helped a little, still MUCH brighter with the low beams on. I hope to order a HID kit on the 1st that will fix the problem. I might get some Addco sway bars instead.lol

How about this: Remove both bulbs completely from the projectors and with them still wired, turn them on (like setting them on top of your headlights). If they do come on, test them on low and high beam and see how they respond.

It wouldn't be a fuse... seeing as both the high and low beams work.

yea im confused. The projectors don't do anything, there is no wiring even involved until you get into hooking up bixenon. The bulbs are going in the same harness as before, its the same thing as replacing your bulbs with new ones, there is no reason that would alter your highs and lows.

Yeah I know right?? Its soo weird. maybe its the way the bulbs are, they have a shield over one of the, uh coils? IDK what they are called in a lightbulb, but I don/t know if the shield is over the high or lows.

Well, I'm putting my money on the bulbs causing the problem, not the projectors.

with the fuse would the day time running light fuse mess with the system? cause its all over this forum that if you just pull the drl fuse your lights still work so i dont know i was thinking it could have something to do with the switch? what a crazy thing though?
