HELP!!!! I got a charging prob

Alright, here is my problem, I was sitting in a drive through and mu at temp light came on with the charge light, usually an alternator or that wire that runs form the battery to the fuse block right? well, I replaced my alternator and battery, the lights go out....

now heres the real problem, now, my alternator doesnt charge my battery at all. As long as I am driving around I am fine but my radio cuts out cuz it don't have enough juice(I got subs and stuff) but as soon as I stop and try and start it, the batery is dead. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, went and got it checked out, got 10 volts at the battery, my alternator isn't charging it......if its not a defective alternator then what is it? I am gonna tare it off and get it benched in a couple of hours to let everyone know what is going on. Any ideas on what else it could be? all the fuses are good and I got juice to the backside of the alternator..

Make sure your grounds are perfect ,at the battery and the ground circut for the alt is good. Its possible you just got a defective alt. :beer:

oh crap, I feel like a retard.....

well, hopefully this will help everyone else out....the plug that goes into the alternator goes in there a LONG ways...mine wasnt quite pluged in all the way, maybe a 1/16th of an inch away....with it in all the way like magic it works..thanks to everyone that read this though, thanx a lot!
