Hey, So I am ready to buy a 3rd gen, I have got everything all set to go financially and I have found and driven two so far that I would consider buying. Here is my dilemma:
'99 limited, 89k miles, drives excellent, silver, clean interior, very clean exterior (minor under body rust), needs timing belt (no history of being done) and engine has that timing belt squeak (water pump, pulleys, etc?). Good Carfax. Priced at kbb excellent, but willing to negotiate.
'02 Sport, 111k miles, drives excellent, red, exceptionally clean interior, clean exterior, (more underbody rust, but not terrible), again no history of timing belt (no belt squeak though), needs brakes (front pads, rear shoes and drums). Good Carfax. $3000 less, but they are firm
Or wait and see what comes along...
Thanks for helping, and any advice would be great.
Also, not up to tackling the timing belt myself, but I can do brakes.
