Help..install rear cup holder 2000

Looking for some info to install a rear cup holder for my 2000 SR5. When I purchased, the cup holder was missing. Found a matching color on ebay for $20. Have'nt tried to remove the center console yet, looking for some tips if anyone has done this. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if a front cup holder from a 98 limited 4runner will work in a 98 SR5? Is there a difference in sizes?

I looked desperately yesterday and only found one for 89-96. Is that what you brought? My 4 runner is a 97 and I want to make sure it fits.

no, I have a 98, I took the buy now option. You just gotta keep your eye on ebay, If I find one Ill definately let you know.

For future reference:

It was pretty simple. I removed the two screws holding the cup holder to the console. Then removed the tab on the rear heating control knob. Pulled away the insert with the temperature setting (it pops right out) and simply applied an upward pressure and the old frame/housing of the cupholder came out. Hope this helps.
