Help installing OME lift

I picked up my OME lift yesterday and I tried to install it this afternoon but I ran into a few issues.

To start, here is what I have:

882/906 with N91S/N86 on a 2001 SR5

Is there a good way to get the top nut off the rear shocks?? I tried for a while and just couldn't seem to get it. I can turn the nut holding the top of the shock but the whole top half of the shock just spins with at and I can seem to hold it.

I also ran into problems in the front because the spring compressors I rented weren't working too well. But I am taking them to a shop in the morning to get the whole coilover assembled so I'm not too worried about the front.

Any tips on removing the rear shocks?

i JUST took mine off. The rears took me maybe 20 minutes a piece. I took a 14mm socket, with a ratchet, and placed it on rear top bolt. Then i took these huge pliers and turned the aluminum shock boot until it snapped off at the nut. MUCH easier than the front. Oh, and I undid the bottom bolt first, and THEN attempted to break the shock nut. hope that helps.

The front plate that held the shock/spring was completely rusted out and had to replace both. took it to a shop and they got the part in (on a saturday!) and put the springs on the Tokico Trekmasters I got in last week. Mounted them up and just took her for a test drive. No more bouncing around! Hooray!

Make sure you clean out the cavity where the top bolt is. mine was covered in sand/rust/dirt. I just used the blow tool on my air compressor.

Thanks for all the tips. I got them off this morning. For one side I put a wratchet on the top nut then used a belt to twist the dust cap/top half of the shock. The other side didn't want to budge so i cut off the bottom half of the dust cap, ground down the sides of the actuator rod then grabbed it with a vise grip. worked well.
