HELP!!! Installing t1809 and it doesn't fit!??

I am in the middle of install and get to the point where I am going to screw in the new head unit and put everything back together and it doesn't fit into the hole!! The bracket that attaches to the head unit that holds the screws in place to the car has a place up top that sticks out and that is not letting the HU go into the compartment. My stock HU has two screws holding it in place and the Scion one is built for 4 screws to hold it into place. :redbrick:

Is it just me,or could the brackets be swapped left and right? It looks like they could be on the wrong side possibly?

Yeah, I was in a hurry when installing and didn't think of this idea right away. I swapped the brackets and the install went fine after that. I just got back from a long road trip and loved the t1809

Will the Iphone4 hook up with the IPOD cable and run to the stereo? Will it charge it as well?

Does what make a big difference? The T1809? YES!

The iPhone4 will hook up to the HU just fine, but you have to buy an extra part to charge it. I don't have that part number right now though.

Yep, that is the cable you will need, it won't charge the iPhone though, just allows you to play it

I have the same HU & same cable... I found out that using the scosche ipod adapter (like this one), you can charge the newer Ipods through the cable.
