Ok so I am still trying no narrow down this vibration issue...def not a tire issue.
It seems isolated on the left side. It jitters like hell and when I hit a bump on that side...forget about it, vibrates on highway too. Been really trying to pay attention and I believe I hear a whistle like birds chirping at low speeds (not braking just low speeds) intermittently and an occasional clunk on hard bumps....
I called myself checking for loose parts already but I don't know....

OK replaced the steering rack guide today (that is just too easy of a job...kudos to the write up on here) and although the truck does feel a lot better it still has some shakes. I know I need some new shocks so just going to wait until I do that before just throwing money at it. I did get under there again today and check for play and nothing seemed like a red flag but who knows...

How long did it take you to do the steering rack guides? I still have to do LBJ's and tue rod ends, probably tackle it at the same time.
20 minutes with cleanup, very very easy. Actualy job 5-10 min. Spent more time looking for the rod coupler around town. That was just the rack guide. Haven't tackled the bushings yet.
Finished my inspection of the truck and didn't find anything loose. Jacked it up and did the checks for wheel bearings up front, put a hand on everything looking for play and didn't find anything excessive I don't think. Did find one of the front sway bar bushings a mangled mess. Don't know if this is enough to cause the jitters. As with most of the bolts I've worked on they had been holding tight for 13yrs so didn't want to come quietly. Fought with it for a while before resolving to praying it down with PB to soak overnight, will try again tomorrow.
Well dayum. I'm still trying to diagnose all the noises I hear coming from the truck now. Going over some bumps it sounds like a bucket of chains (a lot of clanking noises) front and back. Sounds like the whole dang frame about to jiggle loose! What all am I missing here, what all can I check for looseness as I'm at my wits end on checking stuff. Could the body mounts or something be loose?
Second issue. The squeaking bird chirp sound, I accidentally was able to duplicate it while rocking the truck up and down. Shocks or springs you think?

Just an update on this. I replaced my steering rack guide and adjusted tire pressure just before leaving on a 1300 mile round trip trek. I will say that my truck is 10x better. I still need new shocks so can't honestly say the ride is perfect yet but the guide made a huge difference.
Will replace shocks soon, replace rack bushings and get a lift then will report back.
