Help me find a lift from ebay

I received a coupon for 20% off if I use paypal to make a purchase from ebay.

I really wanted the old man emu lift but they don't offer it for the 4runner.

The only lift I was able to find was the Revtek 430 SUSPENSION LIFT KIT FOR TOYOTA.

From my understanding this is for the 4th generation, is it not? Can it be used on 3rd gens as well?

And since it's a 3 inch lift will I need to do any other modifications?

Is the 3 inch a popular lift over the 2.5 inch lift?

I would recommend a differential drop. It's cheap insurance.

If that is the lift on the link you provided, it says it is for the 3rd gens.

It looks like it comes with shocks for the rear and spacers for the front and rear. If your main objective is to find a cheap lift, this would be good.

I installed a Daystar kit a few years ago because it was cheap and I could do the work.

It will provide lift but will not increase suspension travel for off-roading like a coil lift. That and better ride over stock springs is why I plan on replacing mine with a coil lift.

So you really just have to look at how much money you want to spend and what your expectations are.

Old Man Emu is most certainly a spring lift option for the Runners. Many of us on this forum and Yota Tech are running different springs to achieve lift.

It may be difficult to find a vendor however using ebay to sell it....

Hulk311- a lift is a complicated matter-I urge you to read the Sonoran Steel website FAQ section of 96-02 4Runners.

Some folks will sell you a spacer lift-and for your purposes it may work just fine. If you intend to actually off road-it may not.

There are many variables at play. First and foremost is how you desire to use the vehicle.

This is one of the most often discussed issues on the forum-page back a few pages and begin the process of learning all there is to know about lifting your ride.

Hint-there are also "body lifts" that may or may not also give you what you are after.

Be careful , the 430 kit does NOT come with shocks but DOES come with diff. drop. The pics in the ad you linked are for an FJ Cruiser/03-08 4 Runner, not a 3rd gen so theyve got it all mixed up

We're not really a "shop" but if you went to the link in one of the posts above you can see what we sell. I know we're not a paying vendor here so i dont want to cross any lines but i work for Rocky Mountain Suspension out of Calabash, NC. I work from Mullins, SC however. We are 90% mail order but do keep alot of Revtek and some of the smaller kits in stock
