I'm getting impatient because I can't seem to find the 4runner just for me.
What website/method is best for searching for used cars? Is craigslist all that bad?
Just need to get my 04,05,06 black/white v6 or v8, 4x4, WITH 3rd row seating. Under 100k miles, preferably something under $16,500.
I'm in Utah, but willing to travel to surrounding states. Need this before the snow comes! lol.
Thx guys. Keep ur eyes peeled if you see one for me.

FWIW, I searched cars.com and craigslist. I actually ended up buying my T4R off a guy on craistlist (local, no over seas scams or anything). But I had been doing my homework for several months in advance. I got a great deal on it, about $5k less than what a dealership was selling it for. And it was clean, I mean clean. So, it is possible to find a good deal on craigslist, but do your homework and if anything seems shady, it probably is.

Do searches on Cars.com and Autotrader.com for your area. You can specify year, engine, distance, color, etc. I found my 06 SE on Autotrader.com about 200 miles away for a very good price.

I've been searching and researching for months: Craigslist, Cars.com, Autotrader, eBay. Right now I have a dealer/friend looking at dealer auctions around the country, he's not finding much of interest there, but I'm locked into letting him look and can't buy one 'till he gives up. I can fly to any major airport for free, so I'm open to any deal anywhere, and I've found some I wish I could go get. I'd say just keep looking on the sites already mentioned, learn what the scams are and what the prices are doing.

I've learned a ton from http://www.top4runners.com/index.html, very helpful.
