Help me identify this part (and tell me where the hell it goes!)

I was putting on some new steering wheel leather. At first I had only the airbag/horn asy off. After getting frustrated with the thread getting caught up in the innards (as well as the entire process of stitching the cover on) of the steering wheel, I removed everything including the back cover, cruise control lever and horn switches. I think when I removed the cruise control lever, this little bracket, thingee fell out. I spent over an hour trying to size and fit this thing and I just cant seem to figure it out. It kinda looks like it may hold a wire but I just don't know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I figured it out. It is a support brace for the cruise control. Thought I would reply in case someone else runs into this dilemma. Plus it annoys the hell out of me when people don't follow up on their posts when they come to a conclusion
