Help me price this used 4runner please

It is a 2006 SR5 V8 4x4 with very light rust for Wisconsin.

150,000 miles

I always thought I’d buy a vehicle from AZ, or something but this one is pretty nice.

Clean carfax and autoch club.

It’s maroon and it has a sunroof, which are negatives for me.

The lady says she never did the timing belt. Crazy, but not the first I’ve seen. “These things run forever”. Haha

Brakes are decent. Suspension and tires are excellent.

Rust is surprisingly good for up here, like I said.

Interior is very good, paint is very good, one little blemish on the interior.

Mechanical looked good other than a CV boot and timing belt.

She said $8500, had asked $8995.

I haven’t run the carfax, yet.

Is it reasonable?

It’s for the wifey, she always is stealing mine! :kiss:

She isn’t crazy over the color. Just trying to feel it out.

I want a mica in Limited, and will pay for that. We don’t tow anything, so the V8 is optional. But I like this one a decent amount.

Timing belt is about a grand to have dealership do. See if she will split that with you at 8k and buy it as long as car fax is clean and there is no signs of accident damage.

Not to be nit picking here, or maybe I am, but it brothers me that people on Craig's List think they can say 150,000 miles when it's clearly
shows 151,946 on the odometer, might as well be 152,000 miles, I don't know why this brothers so much, but I usually won't persue one any
further if they can't list the "actual" mileage or round it off to the next closest 100 miles, but never less than, especially when it 2000 miles
less, unless it's still a very, very good deal.

That being said and aside, I think it's a bit over priced, needing a timing belt, the radiator support looks a bit more rusty than I care for, did
you look at the tubing attached behind the support, once the support get good and rusty that tubing is usually bad and needs replacing as
well, I'm willing to bet that the LCA alignment adjusting bolts are froze up as well.

Have you checked out the 4WD system, looked at the actuator to see if it's leaking, the rest of the driveline?

Not meaning to be so negative but the best way to determine price is to pick the truck apart, and only if it passes all the scrutiny will you
come up with the price it's worth.

From what I can see and not knowing many other factors I wouldn't give more than $7000 to $7500 for it at best and that's only if the 4WD
system checks out good.

I'd offer 8,000, not pay much more.

And the V8 is not optional, it is a plus. Especially given 2006 v6 head gaskets

Yes I climbed all around under there. I didn’t look at the actuator but the drivetrain is clean as hell.

That truck is $11,000 minimum in Colorado. Really clean ones with that mileage will be over 12K, and sell in two days.

Yeah, I picked up my 95 in Colorado. Used to live there. Was a lot of fun.

Rust demolishes them here. Not a huge premium here because of that.

This one needed a timing belt and was a bit rusty for my tastes.

I’ll take a long weekend and fly to Phoenix or something soon and ship what I buy back. No biggie.
