Me and my friends take a few small trips every year to some secluded and beautiful places around Arizona.
One place we want to go that is on all of our bucket lists is Moab. We want to go there not just for great offroading and scenery, but to fish as well. Fishing plays a huge role in the trips we take, and is almost essential to therapeutic process that so many people miss out on these days of "going outside".
Part of the inspiration for this trip was an accident my friend was involved in, and a hit in run I was involved in. Both situations destroyed our cars. My friend ended up in the hospital with several broken bones and can't walk, but if all goes well should be fully recovered by next year. My accident left us stranded on the side of the road with a totaled vehicle watching as tail lights from a careless, probably inebriated person drove away into the dark with a crippled vehicle, and no care for the lives they could have potentially just ended. Things in the city suck, but we still have our lives and are yearning to get out.
I understand that there is fishing around Moab, but I am completely unfamiliar with the area and the regulations around fishing here and if the fishing opportunities are actually in the Moab area.
We like to camp near the water, fish in the water, and eat some of our catch.
Mill Creek and the Colorado river are some of the places that have come up on my searches.
