Hey all,
Just added another 4th gen to the stable. Helped my younger brother buy an '04 Limited, v6, 4wd with 145k miles. I felt fairly confident when "inspecting" bc of my own ownership of basically the same vehicle, but was completely stumped/ confused when I opened the hood and saw a transmission dipstick! To my knowledge, the 4.0s have a SEALED trans, so it's got me suspicious/ borderline skeptical of why THIS 4.0 has a trans level dipstick! Can someone help shed light on something I may be overlooking!? Maybe it's there bc it's 4wd...or for some other random reason???
(P.S.~ will try to snap a pic asap and put it up here to show the ride and also the dipstick in question!)
