Help Needed to install OME lift kit- TX

I need to find a good mechanic who lives close to Fort Worth, TX
that can help remove my XREAS from my 04 4wd 4runner and install the OME suspension lift kit I am buying.

Would rather find a trusted source from here that has experience with the 4th generation 4 runners than just some other mechanic.

If you know of someone please let me know who they are and how I can contact them.

If you don't want to attempt it yourself I'd try Toyota of Dallas. They sell OME stuff in the parts department so I'm sure at least one of the wrenches over there has done it before.

With that being said, I live in Hurst and could lend a hand if you wanted to attempt it. I've put coilovers on a couple of Taco's and have read enough about doing it on the 4runner I'm pretty sure I could do it..... You might try posting on the the Texas TTORA board for a couple other guys to help out. If we had two or three guys that somewhat new what they were doing it would only take a few hours. Just let me know.

My only suugestion to make it easier is to have either the OME supplier (I used Slee Offoroad) or a local shop assemble the springs on the struts for you. That way you don't have to deal with the challenge of compressing the springs. The rest of the install is a piece of cake.

If you are removing the XREAS suspession with no intent to use it again as I did, you can easily follow the fluid lines between the shocks and the center resivours and remove them. That way your frame rails will be clean you can install sliders later if you want without the XREAS conflict.

Don't forget to have a front end alignment done after the lift is installed. :biggrin2:
