Help needed with phone notifications not working when in 4Runner

Do you mean you're not getting notifications on your sound system when you get a text (for example) on your phone?

Google it. I did, and I found my problem. My blue tooth settings on my iphone had notifications turned off.

If that's what you're talking about, then you actually don't have to google it... other than there's a nice step-by-step out there in the interweb.

Doesn't work all the time. Mine magically started working one day and still working.

iPhone settings been on since day 1.

WAIT, so if I am connected to the bluetooth, but have the radio on and use Google Maps, the voice is supposed to talk over the radio station to give me directions?

Mine only does this if I actually have bluetooth selected as the source and am playing Spotify or whatever through my phone.

in my case i see my phone screen wake up when a txt etc but no sound

if i have blue tooth menu on then i hear beep but if on fm am etc then nothing

same with phone calls. when i first got 4runner if call comes in and i answer on my phone or headphones the radio will mute but now it does not, i dont get what changed
