Help on removal of dash panel

:wtf:I need to replace/repair the lighter socket and clock on my 1998 T4R.

Both the clock and the lighter are in-op, and I checked all 8 fuses in the dash (on the left side, under the cover below the instrument dimmer knob).

I am new to this vehicle, and know there are abundant experts here.

Where are the screws that hold it located, and where do I have to pry it out (it's the panel with the lighter socket, radio, a/c and heater controls, etc.)

EDIT: I just noticed that yours is a '98 which is a slightly different design, but the procedure should be similar.

The radio bezel of the 96-98 has some screws, don't try to push it out like in the thread above, other than that it should be the same, I would post picture of the locations of the screws... but I swapped mine for a 99+ bezel ... I believe most of them are around the climate controls and some around where the radio goes.

I saw that the reference was a 2000. I will try to look for the screws, but it takes a contortionist to crawl around the seats and under the dash! LOL

Probably too late on this one, but the screws are under the face plate on the heater controls, pull off all the little rubber knobs and center the sliders, then get a screwdriver in there to pull it out, the A/C switch will come with it, after that you'll see the screws, they sit pretty far back into the dash. Once those are out it pops straight out pretty easily.

had a bulb go out behind the A/C controls on my 98' and took me 2 min to replace in the dealership parking lot thanks to your post
