help please with tire size on a lifted 99 4runner

i lifted my 99 limited 4runner 3inches with the toytec ome suspension kit. wanting to know how big of tires i can get without major rubbing. also whats a good aggressive tire to go with? ive talked to many tire shops but they all say somthing different. wondering if i should go with a small rim and big tire or same size rim as stock. help please thanks

IMHO if you plan on doing the tundra brake mod (highly suggested, especially with heavier tires) I'd run a 16 with the appropriate backspacing or a 17. Anything bigger will just leave you with less rubber equaling to less performance off road and the bigger the rim, the more expensive the tire. I'm running 265 70 17s (~32") with no lift and have zero rubbing issues. You could easily run a 285 70 17 (tad bigger than 33") and be fine. If you go bigger you might rub a little
