Help Plz, Q about Fender Flares

Hey guys,

I need a lil help.

I got a 1999 4Runner. I want to put Fender Flares on it cause mine does not have them.

I checked out a site, and they said they have Universal Fender Flares, (BLACK color) for $60. But he said I would have to cut and do all that to make it fit on my model.

Then they said they also have ones that WILL FIT my 99 4Runner but they cost a lot more cause they are fitted ones. 4 Set = $360.

Now my question which one should I buy?

If I buy the Universal fit ones for a lot less price then is the cutting and painting of Fender Flares hard or easy. Will anyone be able to do it or I would have to take it to a shop?

Please kindly answer if you know.

Unless you know someone in the autobody field who is experienced AND willng to hook you up on a good price for trimming/fitting/panting I personally would go with the more expensive set.
You get what you pay for, and unless you are in the mood for a project........

to be perfectly honest, I dont know.
But i do know that if I were doing what you are I would want it done right, and that is in the hands of pro's!

Man i got another quick question.

What is the chrome line (Sliverish color)that goes on top on fenders with the 4Runners that DO NOT have flares called?

I may just put those one cause they might be cheapier and they look nice too.

Plz let me know if you know what they called.
