Help: rear lift for use with TRD Tundra lift w/o spacer

Hello all, I have a 98 4 runner with 147,000 miles and am finally getting new shocks and springs in the next couple of months to replace my worn out stock suspension. I have read the lift FAQ so many times I can recite it in my sleep and have searched countless posts in search of the best lift for my needs, but I would love any opinions on how to acheive good ride quality and around 2 inches of lift without spending an arm and a leg.

I do not want a huge lift (my wife who is 5'3" can already barely get in since I removed the running boards), don't want much rake, and I only plan to go up to 265/75 tires max. My main desire is to get better ride and handling while gaining a little bit of ground clearance. I am interested in going with the Tundra TRD coils and the struts that come with them and not using a spacer as these seem to provide around 2 inches of lift and a comfortable ride.

My main question is what to use in the rear? I have looked at the LC coils but they just seem to provide too much lift - would an OME 906 be too little lift and give me a reverse rake? Is anyone here running that combination? I have also looked at the OME 890 but don't want a stiff/rough ride and have heard some complain about the ride these provide. PLEASE HELP! I have been amazed at the level of knowledge on this forum and I really appreciate your assistance!

You'll probably need a spacer in the rear if you use 906s (OME calls them trim packers and they come in 5 and 10mm thicknesses). The 906s may sit level with the Tundras, but you may end up with a little reverse rake too, hard to say for sure and it depends on how old the tundra coils are. The trim packers are ~$10 each so I would pick up 2 of the 10mms just in case. BTW, spacers in the rear do not preload the coils, so you won't feel a bit of difference with or without them.

The other option, 890s will probably give you a little rake (I'm guessing ~.5") with the Tundras, but they will ride a little stiffer too like you are aware. So I think 906s + 10mm would probably be the best for a mild lift and a smoother ride.

that is exactly what i want. i just did 906's/billies out back. 99 talls will only give me 1", which is too much rake, even when the 906's settle .5 or maybe less as i don't haul anything. how much taller will the trd's make the front? are the 10mm spacers sufficient? do those spacers compress, give after time?
