Both of mine required lots of beating on the end of the axle shaft (with a piece of wood to protect it) once those splines broke free from inside the hub I still had lots of careful prying to do with a 3 ft bar being careful not to damage the brake shield. Lots of PB blaster. You'll be surprised with the amount of crap that got past your seals if it's anything like mine were, be sure to replace the O-ring, the outer seal (part of your bearing assembly already) and the inner seal that's a light press fit into the back of the knuckle.
