Having some serious trouble getting this resistor thing to work. Yes there's threads on this already but they all lead to deleted web pages.
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to connect into the harness with the steering wheel controls which is this one:
I can't seem to get the resistor in far enough with the red wire for it to make any sort of meaningful contact. Is there a trick to this? Strip the wire?
