Help selling car

Hi All, I just managed to sell my 2000 VW Golf. I have a little dillema that the guy buying the car is getting a loan through his credit union and the credit union will not issue a check to him without the pink slip (title) and I, naturally, will not sign over the pink slip without a check. Has anyone here sold a car under similar circumstances and what did you do?

I cannot go to his credit union to do the exchange at the same time since I work during the day. So thats not an option.

You might call the credit union and talk over the situation with them. You can't be the first person they have dealt with that has this concern.

But you're smart for not signing over the title until you have cash in hand.
