Help! stock '96 4Runner stereo...

the stock stereo deck in my '96 4Runner went out recently. The AM/FM, CD and cassette all dont work anymore. It powers on, but nothing will play. Sometimes when I hit a speedbump the right way it will come back on, but then will cut out again. Backlight works fine as well too.

Just wondering if a wire is loose or what? Easy fix or replace the deck?

I think the easiest fix is a junkyard which will probably have a tacoma or 4runner stereo for cheap.

If the stereo is receiving power, but not playing, then it isn't a wiring issue but something internal to the stereo. Not too many people consider a 16 year old stereo worth servicing.

Now's a good time to upgrade to an aftermarket stereo, a double din nav system fits in there perfectly.
