I have a 00 limited 4runner. Its a v6, but I don't know what motor it has. These problems started two months ago and is still an ongoing problem. I can't take it to the dealership since I have school and a job.
1st problem is the tranny. I have to warm it up for at least five minutes, then I can drive. If I don't, the car will not move at all. It will just rev up and not do anything.
2nd problem is the p-break. I don't know if it correlates to the tranny, but when I drive in the cold weather, it comes up when I am driving. It pops up around 15-25mph and goes off when it hits 3rd gear around 30-35mph.
3rd problem is the antenna. For some reason I think the teeth is gone on the antenna. I am not sure, but it doesn't go up or down, but it makes an annoying noise.
Oh yeah, I have about 117,000 on it. My parents bought it brand new and have regular maintenance. The only thing that I know that they haven't done yet is the timing belt and water pump. Could that be a source?
