Help w/04 door lock setup

I was trying to get my doors to unlock when I turn the truck off, but for some reason, I cant get it set up. I'm following the manual and it just will not accept the entry. Can someone who did this help?

Some have said, you need to be very precise on the timing of holding down the switch and with the presses of the buttons. I have tried a bunch of times probably 20-30 minutes one night, gave up because it didn't work. Then I tried again a few days later and got the settings I wanted set.

I say take a break and try again tomorrow. If not, the dealer can program the door locks with a handheld scantool, however they may charge you for it.
