Help Warranty Ran Out!

I recently bought my 03 4runner USED from the dealership(about 10 months ago) and was unaware that there were TSB's about certain things that I could get fixed. I became a member here at T4R and started to notice that some of the problems that I was having were common and that toyota had agreed to fix them. My problem came when I realized that since the previous owner had not kept up with this it was left up to me to do it. Well by the time I found out about a lot of these problems, my warranty was up. I am wondering if anyone here has any advice on if there is anything I can do to still get some of these things fixed....namely my drivers seat being loose and my moonroof rattles!???

Please Help!

Fix it yourself or shell out some money.

The seat can be removed with four bolts. The least you can do is remove it and examine and maybe even grease the tracks

The moonroof is more difficult, but there is a DYI fix written up here. The dealer will charge more than $ 1,000

Aren't TSB's performed anytime regardless of mileage and time?
Not by rule. There are some TSB's that cover longer than the standard warranty (I think the sulfur tsb is like this since it is emissions equipment) however most do not.

TSB's are not recalls. They're really just known solutions for common problems that customers have reported. If a customer comes in with problem such-and-such, a TSB would help the dealer quickly fix the problem by providing the answer.

A good Toyota dealer would fix anything while the truck was under warranty, regardless of whether or not there's a TSB. The existence of a TSB for a given problem just means that enough people have come in with the issue such that Toyota HQ documented the problem and made all dealers aware of it.

Because it's not a recall, the fix is not free after the applicable warranty period expires for the part(s) involved.

There are some Special Service Campaigns(SSC) to - not recalls since not safety related but more than a TSB. I had one that changed the AC expansion valve and recharged the R12 FREON (SSC001) after 12 years in my old '90 4Runner. ACs topped working so took it in for what I ventured to be a costly repair - dealer said the SSC was never done and it covered the $400 bill totally.

Keep hoping Yota will do same for the sticking sunroof problem!
