It might pay to take a look at the bulb. Sylvania lists the 4157NALL bulb for the 06 as well but it's wrong. I just replaced one last week and it takes a 1156NA.

It's what I would call the old fashioned type because it's a push and twist bulb.

thanks but if i take the bulb out is there anyway of knowing the type? does it say the type number like a 9006 or 9005 would?

Usually but not always. Once in your hand though walk into a parts store. They'll get it. The important thing is to tell them it's for a DRL so you get the LL (long-life) variant.

i just took some time and went under my truck....i took the bulb out and it turns out that sylvania is right and the light is 157 is says it right on the bottom of the bulb. i think i might look for some hyper white or xenon white bulbs for these, tired of seeing everyone with yellow.. thanks for the help guys

did you make sure you turned off that auto headlights on ur 4runner. I know mine has a auto feature where you just leave it and light go on and off automatically.

In that picture by donnie, the lights he circled are the turn signal lights. The DRL are the corner bulbs in both headlight assemblies.
they look a little orange if you stare into your headlights. They turn off when you have the low beams on.

I'm pretty sure on this.

go here to disable DRLs.. little bit of work required..

others say you can reach up under the panel by the gas pedals and there shoudl be a connector labelled DRL and you jsut have to disable pin 2..you'll have to do more searching.
