Help: What cross bars do I need?

I have a 2017 TRD Pro coming in a few weeks and I'm planning on putting down some money on the iKamper tomorrow during their early bird discount pricing.

They have a section that describes the dimensions and mounting instructions

And this section as a direct link to which Thule crossbars are compatible but there are multiple options. Can anyone explain or direct me to which cross bars that I will need?

You may actually be able to mount directly to the stock roof rails w/o crossbars. There's a thread in the 5th Gen area about mounting RTT's directly to the rails with no issues. The iKamper appears to be light enough to do this. Thule or Yakima cross bars will work, but they will place the tent higher and I'm not sure what your limitations are? The stock crossbars will be worthless for your application.

Unless you have an immediate trip planned for once the vehicle and tent show up, I would just wait until the tent arrives and determine what the best mounting option is. No one has this RTT yet, so it's hard for anyone to give any definitive information on mounting it.

Reviving an old-ish thread. I contacted Rack Outfitters and they were very specific about the solutions available from Rhino Rack:

The Rhino-Rack Vortex Load Bars are a great replacement for the factory bars. You'll have a high 176-pound capacity.

The load bars specified for this fitment are 50-inches. The iKamper is just over 54-inches in width.

Another great option would be to remove the entire factory rack and install a set of Rhino-Rack tracks and do a three bar system from Rhino-Rack. This will give you a 220-pound capacity and offer more support for the long iKamper tent.
