Help with 05 to 06 headlamp conversion (harness)

We were in an accident in my wife's 4runner and the front headlights had to be replaced. I had the body shop install the new projector headlights. What I need help with is the wiring harness for this conversion. I found through searching the forums that I need PN:8112535440 - Wiring loom for turn signals. When I called the Toyota parts department to ask about the harness for the H11 bulb, the parts tech told me it was from the main engine harness. Is this correct? If so, how has everyone dealt with this issue. Thanks. We pick truck up tomorrow so any quick answers would be much appreciated. (Forgot to mention, I plan on installing a HID kit from xenondepot, so would I be able to skip this step?)

I'm not sure about XD kit, but the McColluch kit that I got is a plug n play kit. I'm sure you can find a kit that fits for the 9006 fitiment and totally bypass the harness you're looking for. You just need to specify the type of bulb size you need, and the plug adapter you need. Here is a diagram of what exactly you will need to ask for when you buy the HID kit:

Keep in mind that the ballast/igniter is pretty much universal.

Called Steve from Xenondepot today. He helped me with everything. Great guy. Just need to switch the kit to a 9006 style harness. Hopefully I'll get the kit tomorrow. I'll post some pics this weekend. Thanks for your help AlphaQup.

Please post pix after conversion. I would like to do the same. Is the 06 headlamps plug n play with 05 setup? How did you hook up the turn signal wire? Did you have to change the hood or front grille? Cant wait to see the outcome...

Received the kit yesterday. Install was a snap. It took about 1 hour. WOW!! What a difference. I took my wife for a ride last night and she couldn't believe how much better she could see. And if you flip your high beams on it is that much better. We live in a pretty rural area where there aren't any street light and we could see forever down the road with the high beams and the new xenons. I drive a Porsche 911 and I think the lighting and beam pattern in the 4runner is superior to what I'm used to driving with. It's raining tonight but I'll try to take some pics this week and post. Sorry I don't have any comparison pics of before and after but I think there are several of those on this site if you do a search.

Wknd60: To get the turn signal working you just buy the harness for the 06 headlights (sorry don't have number with me at work but can send it to you if you need it), cut the turn signal pigtail off the harness, and splice it into the DRL/turn signal in the bumper of the 05. You could just run the wires up from the harness in the bumper to the headlight but then the lights in the bumper wouldn't work and I didn't want that. So the way I did it, I have DRL's and blinkers in the bumper and headlights. I really like the look. It's really easy.
