First time post, but I was hoping to get some knowledge from experienced 4 runner owners.
I sold my Xterra that I built up pretty good for offroading and am now considering buying a pretty good 91 4Runner, but it has some things that will need to be worked on.
It has low compression on cylinders 1 and 6 - Will need a valve job or I guess I could get a remanned head?
In your experience, what is the best route to take here? Cost?
The runner only has 106k miles on it, so not bad for a 91.
The owner didn't know and I haven't searched yet, but are these independent steering? What about overhead cams?
