Help with clean up after offloading in some mud

When I first started I loved to find mud. Here in GA it's that red clay that dries into a brick. Literally. The first few times I went I had a blast, now I stay the hell away if I can Lesson learned.

Although the flat surface pressure washer attachment upside down with a wheeled office chair base trick might be something to consider for the undercarriage.

Red clay sucks and I learned the same way you did. I still find it hidden in crevasses under my car.

Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the input, suggestions, and kudos.

I am in the USAF, stationed down here on the Gulf Coast in MS. The mud was thick and I thought a bit of clay, but when it dried, it was just sand.

That evening I hosed everything off, about 30-45 minutes on exterior, 30 minutes on under carriage. No water came into the cabin at all... thank the baby Jesus.
The next day I had off I spent probably 1hr washing her completely. I was planning on clay barring also, but because it's so new, the surface still felt smooth. So I made sure do put on a good waxing. Then, I pulled the passenger front door panel, stuck a hose down and rinsed out all the mud/dirt/sand until it ran clear. That only took 2 minutes of actual rinsing. I rolled the car pack into the garage and let it sit over night with the panel off to let as much water evaporate as possible.

I definitely care about my expensive vehicle, but bought it to enjoy what it can do off road. With that said, today if "paint scratch repair" day. And not to memntion the moment I realized that puddle was not just a puddle... total butt pucker moment.

you will never get all the mud out. In 2012, i went into a mud hole with my tundra, even years later, there would be mud left on my driveway after I washed my car. Its not alot of mud, but enough to get a chuckle out of me. These days, I personally will go around them, and let other people enjoy the mud holes.

You misunderstand, there is a huge difference between mud and dirty water :

One paragraph of soapbox. Driving through mud wrecks trails, driving through dirty water, well it depends how fast you are going, much less detrimental. I'm sure it's a lot different Back East or in the South, much different in the Mountain West, they close stuff around here when it gets out of hand. If everyone that owned a truck and used it as "intended" (what does that mean anyway? ) We'd all be locked in pay-to-play terrain parks with no opportunity to pseudo explore.
