Help with lighting issue!

I was trying to fix a lose wire in my center console and I ended up shorting one of the wires to one of the little bulbs in there I believe. Now here is the problem. My backlighting for the instrument panel (controlled by dimmer switch) is out, so are my driving lights ( but not my turn signals), as ate the lights of the gear shift . I checked the appropriate fuses (and had the guys at Tire Kingdom Check as well) and all the fuses were OK. Did I blow my dimmer switch? If I did, does anyone know the part #? Thanks. I have previously changed everything to LED’d.

From my searched I believe it is going to be the dimmer switch. I believe the part # is : 84119-35030. Not cheap! I have to drive my 4RUNNER 1,000 miles on Saturday so I went ahead and ordered it on Amazon ($128!). Please tell me if you think I should cancel it. I would have bought it used on EBay but I need it quickly.

in the inside driver side fuse box, look for the fuse label "tail". that might be it, or the dome fuse in the engine bay. check those first, and I think its 10amps.

Was the fuse check simply a visual check? On more than one occasion, I've found fuses that look ok but fail only when finally checked with a multimeter.
