hey guys need some input on some rubbing i have. Looks like the rubbing is in the front at full lock. i have icon stage 2 lift with 275/70/17 bfg all terrains no body lift or trimming. wheels are scs stealth 6. question would be will a 1" body lift take care of the rubbing or do i need to do the body mount chop. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

body lift may actually worsen your rubbing depending on where it is. do you have fender liners moved forward and mudflaps removed?

No. I am assuming that your tires are rubbing on the body mounts, located just behind the front wheel wells. A body lift will NOT move said body mounts. Rather, the body lift spacers simply sit on top of said body mounts, and "lift the body higher up off the same body mounts. Your only option, aside from smaller tires or a higher offset wheel, is to do the 4Runner "BODY MOUNT CHOP":

Good luck

sorry for the late reply.

i still have my mud flaps and running boards. i also looked at my body mounts behind my front wheels and don't see any signs of rubbing. i had to remove my running boards or my mud flaps. any other thoughts.

i find it odd its been 5 days and you still havent figured it out by now. i had rubbing issues but was solved with pushing the liners forward took like 2mins to find the problem and solve it

I just put 265/70/17 BFG KO2 on my 03 that has a 3/2 lift with FJ wheels and a 1.25 spacer. At a full bore turn my front wheels would rub on the black plastic part so i just made new holes on relocated it up about an inch and i have no problems rubbing now even when i go up to the mountains.

its a combination of being super busy with work and family. what do you mean the liner? behind the front wheels? it happens only occassionally at full lock. and what do you mean by pushing the liner forward

Forgot to update this thread. Got a schrockworks bumper and lifted it up half inch to level the truck no rugging gone apparently I was rubbing the tire on the front bumper thanks for the feedback and suggestions
