Hey Guys,

Haven't been out west in 20 years. Have family of 4 and we all ski. Do you have any recommendations for where to get lift tickets, and rentals? WHich of the ski areas will have the shortest lift lines during Christmas and can you recommend any lodging? I am price conscience BTW! Looking forward to 1100 mile road trip

get lift tickets and rentals in Denver, you can get good rentals at Christys sports or Colorado Ski and golf both have several locations around town,

lift tickets you can get at King soopers at the customer service desk. I think Copper Mtn may have some 2 for 1 lift tickets for during the week skiing/snowboarding.

None of the mtns have shorter lines at Christmas, cuz everyone does what you are doing. but my bet would be that Arapahoe Basin might have some quicker moving lines now that they just put in hi speed lifts.

my fav mtns are Breck, Abasin, and Copper Mtn, but I wouldnt touch Copper Mtn on a weekend, only on weekdays.

No idea on lodging, internet is probably your best bet there, something like hotels.com or another site like that.

Have a great time! you picked a great area!

2nd that. the christys in dillon is gonna be slightly more and also have less options. for lift tickets search craigslist too. some people put theirs on it if they cant use them. buddy up with someone who has a pass for discounts. or king soopers.

i havent been to abasin since opened the new lift, but during the season its pretty tame since everyone hits up the bigger resorts. vail back bowls the lines usually go pretty quick. avoid mid mtn like the plague. keystone parking is easier [and free] and the backside is usually tolerable on weekends.
