Help with Valentine One Hardwire

Hey Guys,
I'm a newbie and trying to get some help with this hardwire. I did some searches but couldn't find the help I was looking for.

I removed the overhead lights on my 06 4Runner and was attempting to find a source to put that crimp on from the Valentine 1 hardwire kit. I tried a few and couldn't seem to find one that would start the Radar. Also, didn't have any luck trying to find somewhere to attach the ground wire in the kit.

Can someone who has done this in this area help me out with some pics or something?

I tried using one of the gadgets that plugs into the fuse box in this thread:

However, it still wouldn't turn on. We tried using a couple of fuse locations and nothing. I don't know what is going on. I guess it has something to do with the ground. However, we have tried touching the ground wire to multiple locations while attaching the fuse thing but to no luck.

Any idea what could be wrong? It has to be something with the ground wire or that box that the wire plugs into.

Nevermind, fixed it myself. Turns out I didn't have any fuses in the little thing that I purchased that goes into the fuse box. Duh.
