Hey ya'll,
got an opportunity to by an '05 T4R with 128,000 HARD houston, tex. miles on it. i've owned two tacoma's and love them, but never owned a T4R. Both aunts owned TRUE 1st gen T4R's (4WD AND REMOVABLE HARDTOPS) but this one is only 2wd and carpet on the floor. any advice on engine, body, sunroof would be appreciated. thanks:fencing:

no service records that i know of. the t4r is in a small south arkansas used dealer. i've seen the carfax, it's had four owners, plenty of bumps and scrapes, but clean and the sunroof doesn't work. under the hood looks like a new master brake cyl. and new water pump. can't tell if the plugs and wires have been done for the v-8. :ak472::ak472:

Usually when a water pump is replaced, the t-belt will also be if its at or near the replacement time, since its all apart. Is this a regular (GM,Ford,Toyota) dealer? Or one of those fly-by-night, 'we finance ANYBODY!' dealers? I would be wary. The mileage is under(average would be about 135K). How much are they asking?

no, not a regular dealer. this IS a small used dealer, but a decent reputation in town, and they do not do any financing. i'm very old school (mid 40's) so naturally i'm very wary. he is asking 11,500 for it, which is quite a bit too high for me. thanks for the tips, love the site!
