Nice truck. I like that rear step bar. Very important when parking on the streets of NYC. What part of NYC do you live in? I used to live in Staten Island.

I live in Manhattan. The step helps quite a bit when washing the car. I bought this to prevent people from hitting my car when parking. Since it only cost $100, I expect it to take the brunt of "parking accidents" .

That inspires me to add the step onto my truck too. Where did u get it from and can it be self installed (not a DIY person).

the stainless steel is costlier than the regualar black and would have come upto 300$'+ for the rear bumper!!

I bought a lock, $25. If I used the pin that came with the car, the bar can easily be stolen.

bought the lock from local auto parts store. you have to be careful, there are two sizes, 1/2 and 5/8 inch. The 4runner uses the latter.
