hesitation at freeway speeds

2002 4Runner, 71k, 2wdrive, V6

At freeway speeds, when I give it gas, slowly, it will cut out as if either it lost fuel or the transmission fell out.

I have replaced the air filter.

Last winter I had the engine light come on with a code P1135. This has gone away without me repairing anything. I thought it might be a water based short as this was during our rainy season.
Just mentioned this because it refers to part of the Air/Fuel sensor system.

Occasionally, this will happen when driving at more normal speeds.

Mine did the same thing so i took it to the dealership, they ran a couple tests and said it was a cracked throttle assembly? i have no clue what was cuasing it to stop but they told me it would cost 1.5 grand to fix, i didnt get it fixed but i havent had a problem from it since either
