I have a 2002 4runner limited automatic with 100 k miles that has begun to hesitate as if it is hitting a bump on the freeway as if it is running out of gas for an instant. or as if it can't decide what gear it should be in
I just got it from a used car dealer last month so I presume the pluggs have been changed. the engine is clean. hah I know. but the connections look sound. the mechanic at the dealer said that he had repalced the timing belt so other stuff would seem to be replaced as a matter of ruitine. the problem is getting more frequent. yipes! any ideas ?? I can go into the garage if I have to with some knowlege then.
I am currently at crater lake, a long way from Globe AZ and hope it is not the last gasp of my transmission or something $$$$
The bump got worse and I got an engine light I took the car to the toyota dealer in Medford or and they replaced all three coils each one of which runs two cylinders, cost 675. But no light for a month now and no bump. Thanks for the advice.
