Hesitation

So I noticed some hesitation when pulling out of my driveway this morning. I live in a cul de sac so I had to back out, turn, then drive forward. I backed out just fine, stopped and put it in drive but could t get it to even roll forward. I had to get the RPMs up to about 1500 to get it to roll. I don't think it is my transmission as I can go into reverse and back up normally. Then, just now at lunch it happened again. I had even let it warm up for about 15 minutes before moving. Any ideas what could cause this hesitation? I keep pushing past whatever it is but I don't want to break anything important.

I'll have more time after work to get über it and check things over. Just looking for ideas of where to start with first.

I would start with the MAF. Get some cleaner and clean that sucker up and see if the problem persists.

what are your engine temps? did you check the radiator? are you using your Ebrake? in answer to your earlier text, yes this could be a sticking caliper, but if it was, you would have a serious pull to one side and or a bad break smell after driving, not to mention very spongy breaks.

I've got some MAF cleaner. I'll do that just because.

Temps are fine. I actually thought it might have been because it was cold since the GF first noticed it the other night and it had been sitting for awhile before that. Not the Ebrake either. Tested that as well. And no major pull in either direction. Drove it on the freeway this morning and didn't notice a difference there.

Hows the trans fluid level. Ive had this before in a vehicle and reverse worked still. Just would slip going into 1st gear drive. I would check trans fluid, when hot, running on level surface after you just drove it so the tq converter is nice and full.

Technically the engine was the only thing warm when I tested it on my lunch break. So the trans could've still been cold/low. If it is the trans, it just means I'm one step closer to my 5spd swap! Lol

Well it actually looks like there is TOO much fluid in the trans+cooler. OOPS!
I'm assuming that because there is too much fluid, it isn't warming up as fast as it should which causes the hesitation?

Well I guess I'll empty some out tomorrow if I'm feeling up to it.
