wow your brave. hope you didnt scratch your paint

You know, I was surprised at how well the paint held up. These were hemlocks, and some of the branches were so big I had to trim them, and I was worried that the stumps would scratch the paint. But they didn't. I guess the paint is tougher than I though it would be.

Nice christmas trees! :D

Yeah, the guys at the town dump gave me no end of grief about that.... of course, one year, I did manage to wait until May to bring my Christmas tree to the dump, and they never let me forget it.

You would NEVER see me doing that. I would assume that you were just moving them to a different part of the yard? If you were actually driving on the road like that, it's truly a horrible idea. If I was driving down the road, and you pulled in front of me, I'd call the cops.

Well, you'd be overreacting, then. I did tie back any branches that were covering glass, and the shrubs were tied down to the roof rack pretty snugly, too. I did that after I took the picture. And I was only going around 2 miles at the most, so there wasn't any real danger.

But I really will be getting a trailer before I do that kind of thing again. That will make loading up stuff like that a little easier for my poor cat.

I'd be overracting? If you don't cover all that stuff with a tarp, it would still be illegal --- here in CA at least. I don't care how many pieces of string you have on it, I'd call the cops on your ass if so much as one leaf it my car as I was driving behind you.
